My first Icelandic Sheepdog, my heart dog. Jenison, aka Jeni, named after Jenison Fieldhouse at Michigan State University, was born Sept. 25, 2008, to a breeder who was not prepared to be breeding. She and her siblings were kept, mostly in crates in the basement, for four years before other Icelandic Sheepdog breeders and owners found out about it, and worked to get them out and rehome them. I got the call asking if I would be interested in an adult rescue (instead of the puppy I was waiting for) the day we decided to put Chance down. We drove down to Indiana to pick her up a week later. Formally, she is TDCH Tuckahoe Didi Belle RN CGCA. My additional goals for 2014 include finishing the second leg of her HCT (AHBA herding capability test) title and obtaining an agility title or two (she has a couple of Qs in CPE). Check out her Icelandic Sheepdogs in America page here.
